The day my children made dinner

The first ever time our children made us dinner. What a proud moment in any parents’ life. A moment you wait for for what seams like an eternity, and then the day comes. You do some shopping, get a few ingredients and leave them to it. I was quite surprised by the flavour combinations they came up with. ‘Very good for a first time’ I thought to myself with pride. We loved it…

Oh, and they are only 6 and 5…

Seba says just three anchovies

for Seba’s sandwich you need…

3-8 slices of cheddar cheese, chorizo sausage and anchovies (seba likes three anchovies per sandwich, and that is the only thing he is specific about) on big wholemeal bread, doused with olive oil and then toasted in a sandwich press.

Obi trims the beans…

for Obi’s salad…

Green beans, feta and cherry tomatoes. That’s all he is willing to give I’m afraid. I dressed it with a little red wine vinegar and olive oil. Very tasty.

The boys are happy with the finished product
A nice pic of the aformentioned finished product. ‘French village dreaming’ tumbler of wine gets BGP (back ground props, kid)
